The First Tee Golf Camp

Junior Golf Camps

Camps will cover all aspects of the game of golf in an enjoyable and exciting fashion. Extensive instruction will be given in all of the following areas: putting, chipping, full swing instruction, golf course etiquette, and the rules of golf.

2012 Eastwood Junior Golf Camps

• June 11 - 15, ages 6-8
• June 18 - 22, ages 9-12
• Sessions are from 8:00am-11:00am
• $85 per student

2012 Northern Hills Junior Golf Camps 

• June 18 - 20, ages 6-8 
• June 11 - 13, ages 9-12 
• Three sessions offered each day:
• 8:00am-8:45am, 9:00am-9:45am, 10:00am-10:45am
• $50 per student

Advanced Junior Golf

The advanced junior golf program is designed for high school aged (13+) golfers looking to improve their golfing skills while having fun at the same time.  Class time is 2 -5:30 pm and cost is $100.

• June 27-August 1: every Wednesday (6 sessions) @ Eastwood Golf Course
• June 28-August 2: every Thursday (6 sessions) @ Northern Hills Golf Course
  

Rochester Junior Linksters Golf League

Designed for Boys & Girls ages 8-16 who are looking to improve their golf game, meet new people, and learn proper golf etiquette.  If a junior is only able to play in a few events, the cost per event is $15. 

• Dates: Every Friday from June 29-August 3 at 7:30am
• Registration:  7:00am-7:20am with a fee of $75 for all six events which covers prizes, food, beverage and supplies.
• Golf Courses: Northern Hills, Oak Summit, Hadley Creek, Willow Creek, Eastwood, and Soldier’s field. (Golf course rotation will be determined at a later date)

Teenage Golf League

A fun and competitive junior golf league using many formats similar to those used in the biannual PGA Ryder Cup Matches. Two teams will be formed and weekly 18-hole matches will be played at Soldiers Field Golf Course.  Weekly and season-long prizes will be awarded. For 2012, the league will start on Thursdays June 21 to August 9.  Tee times begin at 12:30 pm.  The league fee is $50, not including green fees when applicable.  Girls and Boys age 13 - 19 as of June 21,2012.  Boys should be able to score under 100 and girls under 125 for 18 holes.  Solid knowledge of the rules and etiquette are required. Contact Soldiers Field at 281-6176.

Etiquette Classes (ages 22 and under)

Junior Etiquette classes will be offered this spring at Hadley Creek Golf Learning Center at no cost.  A junior only needs to complete the 45 minute class once to meet the etiquette requirement for membership.  Sign up starts April 1st, call Hadley Creek at 529-4119.  Two classes will be held each day starting at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the following days: April 28, 29, May 5, 6, 19, 20.  Further dates will be added as necessary. 

Junior Golf Lessons (ages 9 to 18)

Golf lessons for youth are available at Eastwood (507-281-6173) and Northern Hills (507-281-6170) Golf Courses and Hadley Creek Golf Learning Center (507-529-4119).   For fee and registration information, contact the facility of your choice after April 1st.
